Oliver Ames Student Athletes Celebrated on College Commitment Day

EASTON — Easton Public Schools is proud to share that 17 students at Oliver Ames High School recently celebrated their commitments to play sports at the college level.

College Commitment Day for spring sports was recently held at Oliver Ames High School, giving the student-athletes an opportunity to be recognized while announcing their decisions to compete for a specific college.

Superintendent Dr. Lisha Cabral, Athletic Director Merry MacDonald and Principal Kelly Cavanaugh congratulated the student-athletes and wished them the best as they prepare for college.

“We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes for their hard work, dedication and perseverance both in the classroom and in competition,” said Principal Kelly Cavanaugh. “This is an exciting milestone for each of them and a reflection of the strong support they have received from their families, coaches, teachers and teammates throughout their time here at Oliver Ames.”

“These students have represented Oliver Ames with tremendous pride, sportsmanship and commitment,” said Athletic Director Merry MacDonald. “We are thrilled to see them continue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level. We look forward to following their future successes and cheering them on from afar.”

“College Commitment Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our student-athletes and recognize the discipline and determination it took to get them this far,” said Superintendent Dr. Lisha Cabral. “We congratulate all 17 students and wish them the very best in this next chapter of life as student-athletes at the college level.”
