Please contact the school nurse if your child:
- Has a contagious illness such as:, strep throat, the flu, or COVID-19 (see COVID tab), conjunctivitis.
- Has had a fever >100.4 within the past 24 hours. Your child must be fever free for 24 hours without any fever-reducing medicines (Tylenol-Ibuprofen) before returning to school.
- Has vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours. (Must be able to keep food down for a full 24 hours before returning to school.) If the nurse sends a student home for vomiting at school, we expect that student to stay at home the following day.
- Has head lice.
- Has received a new medical diagnosis.
- Has been hospitalized.
- Has started on a new medication.
- Has an allergy to food or medication, or has developed a new allergy.
- Has incurred a recent injury that requires accommodations for gym, transportation, etc.
- Has no health insurance, and you need help with obtaining health insurance.
- If your child is absent, please call the school in the morning.
- If your child is absent for five (5) consecutive days, a physician’s note is required upon returning to school.
