Art Club

The Art Club is primarily a mural painting club in which members dedicate long hours to beautifying the school one mural at a time. Each mural is meant to promote school spirit and celebrate all that is OAHS. The Art Club also hosts the annual Art Show each year. Through hosting, members are able to learn how to curate a show. Members who are not ready for mural painting also contribute to beautifying the school through other various art-related activities. At the end of each school year, we elect senior officers for the upcoming school year. Art Club members meet up to 2x/week.

*Requirement: Must have completed Art 1 to paint on the wall.

There are two sections of the art club:

Section 1 is the Mural Crew (consists of students in Art levels 2, 3 &4). We meet every Wednesday. Contact Ms. Shea for the google classroom code for the Mural Crew.
Section 2 is the General Art Club (Consisting of students who are in Art 1 or any student wishing to join but don’t need to be in art classes) meets the first Wednesday of every month starting in November.

Virtual Art Show 2021: “Can’t Touch This”

Art Show Day is a time for the OA artists to share and celebrate their incredible talents, artistic discoveries, and achievements with a gathering of family, friends, teachers, and administrators. Due to COVID-19, we had to hold a virtual event rather than the traditional in-person event. While a virtual art show cannot replace the atmosphere of our in-person art show, it still showcases the creative and imaginative work of the talented artists of OA.
